Joseph Marx, affectionately known as 'Pepo' to his friends, grew up in ideal circumstances in the Styrian countryside and Italy, listening to his concert pianist mother and walking in sun-drenched vineyards.

This album features premiere recordings of several works, including Herbstchor an Pan, Morgengesang, and Berghymne, with the Joseph Marx Society commissioning new orchestral parts for Herbstchor an Pan.
