Shihyun Lee, the pianist on this album, won first prize in the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Competition and has performed with the Berliner Konzerthaus Orchestra.
Composition History
The Trois Fantaisies ou Caprices, Op. 16, were dedicated to the three daughters of John Taylor, a Welsh miner who hosted the 20-year-old Mendelssohn.
