Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, praised by Robert Schumann as the 'Mozart of the 19th century,' came from a wealthy and highly intellectual family, allowing him to freely develop his musical talent from childhood.
Composition History
Schumann's violin sonatas Op. 105 and 121 were both composed in the autumn of 1851, with only a little over a month separating the completion of the first and the beginning of the second.

El Duo consists of violinist Michael Kibardin, born in Uzbekistan in 1974, and pianist Stepan Simonian, who both received extensive musical training in their home countries.
