Composition History
Hans Abrahamsen, a Danish composer, wrote his Seks Stykker for horn, violin, and piano in 1984 for a National Radio concert featuring the Danish premiere of György Ligeti's Horn Trio.
Composition History
György Ligeti's Trio for Horn, Violin and Piano was inspired by Hamburg pianist Eckart Besch, who suggested Ligeti write a horn trio to continue the tradition of Johannes Brahms's Horn Trio, op. 40.
Performer Biography
Pˇremysl Vojta, the horn player on this album, won the 'International ARD Music Competition' in 2010 and was awarded the prestigious Beethoven Ring.

John Cage's Music for Three is part of a collection of 17 parts that can be assembled in any combination, with each combination considered a valid version of the work.
