The album title, "Modulation Necklace," refers to a string of different modal constructions in Armenian folk music, which is also the title of one of the pieces on the album.
Composition History
Most of the works on this CD were commissioned by the Dilijan Chamber Music Series, an organization founded by Vatsche Barsoumian to advance Armenian culture.
Recording & Production
The proceeds from this recording will benefit the UCLA Armenian Music Program and the Lark Musical Society, supporting their efforts in promoting Armenian music and culture.
