Ennio Morricone's son, Andrea Morricone, is a conductor and composer who has written over 30 film soundtracks, including the famous love theme from "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso."
Composition History
Ennio Morricone began reworking his film and television scores into concert suites in the late 1980s, and later developed these into versions for solo instrument and orchestra starting in the early 2000s.
Interpretation
The album concludes with "Per le antiche scale," which was originally conceived by Morricone with a solo violin part, but this is its first recording with the violin in that role.

This album is a world premiere recording of Ennio Morricone's "Cinema Suites for violin and orchestra," completed in 2020.

Performer Biography
Marco Serino, the violin soloist on this album, has been the leader of the Roma Sinfonietta for twenty years and has played all the solo violin parts for Ennio Morricone's movie soundtracks since 2000.
