Elizabeth Hainen, the harpist on this recording, began her musical studies on violin and piano at age four before switching to the harp at age ten.

Elizabeth Hainen has been the Principal Harp of the Philadelphia Orchestra since June 1994, after serving in the same role at the Kennedy Center Opera House.
