This album features brand new sonatas by the winners of the 5th Růžičková Composition Competition (2024), which invites composers to explore baroque instruments with a modern twist.

Historical Context
The Růžičková Composition Competition was launched in summer 2020 during the global Covid-19 pandemic, inspired by Zuzana Růžičková, a leading harpsichordist of the 20th century.
