Compositional Technique
Nimikry developed DigitAize, a mapping system that applies a highly sensitive sensor layer to the fingerboard of string instruments, along with an integrated microphone and gyroscope, to digitally process playing nuances wirelessly.
Performer Biography
Alessandro Baticci, a flautist and composer, works at the intersection of music and technology, having developed various electro-acoustical instruments, digital control systems, and sound solutions.
Compositional Technique
Nimikry's approach to live electronics allows a gentle pizzicato to trigger swirling bass sounds or strident high delay chains, expanding the relationship between the resonating body, sound, and performer.

Performer Biography
Rafał Zalech, a Polish violist, composer, and inventor, studied viola and electroacoustic composition at the University of Music in Vienna and Yale University, and his research on digitizing gestures on string instruments led to an international patent.

The album features recordings from two different venues: the Mozart-Saal, Konzerthaus Wien in Vienna, Austria, and Porgy and Bess, also in Vienna, Austria.
