Critical Reception
Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto was initially rejected by its dedicatee, virtuoso violinist Leopold Auer, who found it too complicated and unidiomatic for the violin.
Recording & Production
The recordings for this album were made in Moscow's Svetlanov Hall, the same venue where Daniel Lozakovich made his solo debut at age nine with conductor Vladimir Spivakov.
