Jacopo Baboni Schilingi was an artist-in-residence at IRCAM - Centre George Pompidou for seven years starting at age 21, and later earned a Doctorate in Musicology.

The four pieces of "Nox" were composed between 2003 and 2014, and for this 2015 recording, new 'revisited and completed' versions were created, hence the Roman numeral 'II' in their titles.
