Ohana's compositions were influenced by his research into flamenco, African, and medieval music, as well as by composers Debussy and Falla.
Recording & Production
The ten-string guitar used for this recording was made by David Rouse in 2007 and fitted with D'Addario EXP strings.

Ohana's guitar music makes immense demands on both player and listener, as his expectations for the instrument are uniquely his own, incorporating contemporary 20th-century modernism.

With the exception of 'Tiento', Ohana's guitar music on this album was written for the ten-string guitar, as played by Narciso Yepes, a Spanish guitarist.
