The recording was made at the 42nd Festival della Valle d'Itria in Martina Franca, a co-production with the Fondazione del Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Giuseppe Palomba, the librettist, aimed to create a different, more cheerful atmosphere for this opera, moving away from the serious and moralizing tone of the original work by Casti.
