Peter Seabourne's 'Libro di Canti Italiano' was inspired by the idea of an 'Italian song book' (after Hugo Wolf) and dedicated to his friend Giuseppe Fausto Modugno, a pianist who had performed his earlier works.

Peter Seabourne abandoned composing for twelve years due to dissatisfaction with his work and discomfort in the new music world.
