Instruments
The organ used for this recording is the St Albans Cathedral Organ, which was built in 1962 and comprehensively refurbished in 2007-09 by Harrison & Harrison.

The composer intended the Christian story in "Christus" to be recognized by anyone experiencing a personal existential crisis, not exclusively by convinced Christians.
