Tom Winpenny, the organist on this recording, is a freelance organist and choral director who has held positions at St Albans Cathedral and St Paul's Cathedral, London.

Florence Price, the composer, began her musical training with her mother and enrolled at the New England Conservatory of Music at age 15.

Florence Price's organ music forms one of the largest parts of her output, alongside her orchestral works which include four symphonies and two violin concertos.
Instruments
The Skinner organ, after becoming redundant in the USA, was transported and reinstalled in 2013 at Saalkirche Ingelheim, Germany, by Klais Orgelbau.

The organ used for this recording is an Ernest M. Skinner four-manual organ (opus 823), originally built in 1930 for a church in New Jersey, USA.
