Mark Bressler, conductor of the Dixon Municipal 'Reagan' Band, is also a music and beginning band instructor and conducts the Sauk Valley Community Concert Band.

The idea for 'Reagan of Illinois' was conceived by Mark Bressler, director of the Dixon Municipal Band, in August 2006, partly inspired by his infant son, Wilson Taft.

This album was recorded live and in rehearsal between February 17 and 20, 2011, at the Historic Dixon Theatre in Dixon, Illinois.
