Hubert Renotte, the composer, held several significant musical positions in Belgium, including organist at St. Lambert's Cathedral in Liège from 1735 until his death in 1745.

This recording was made in Borgo Ticino, Italy, between July 25-31, 2022, and features a French harpsichord built by Claudio Capone in 1985, modeled after a Blanchet instrument from 1754.

Fernando De Luca, the harpsichordist, founded the 'Sala del Cembalo del Caro Sassone' in 2006, which has become the largest source of recordings by a professional harpsichordist in the world.
