The Ives Ensemble, founded in 1986 by Dutch pianist John Snijders, focuses on non-conducted 20th-century chamber music, with a foundation in the music of Charles Ives, John Cage, and Morton Feldman.
Composition History
The Riflessi series, started by Richard Rijnvos in 2007, consists exclusively of 'companion pieces' that explore the same exceptional scoring of a classic from the last century.
Composer Biography
Richard Rijnvos has received the Matthijs Vermeulen Prize, the most prestigious award for composers from the Netherlands, twice.

All pieces on this album are first recordings, made in January 2019 at Het Orgelpark in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
