Rodrigo's "Música para un códice salmantino" (Music for a Salamancan Codex) is a 1953 setting of a poem by the Spanish poet and philosopher, Miguel de Unamuno.
Composition History
The album includes an extended setting of the famous words of St Francis of Assisi, titled "Cántico de San Francisco de Asis" (Canticle of Saint Francis of Assisi), composed in 1982.
