The Ulster Orchestra, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, was formed in 1966 and is now one of the major orchestras in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

This recording was made with financial assistance from the Rubbra estate, recorded at Ulster Hall, Belfast, from May 25th to 26th, 2004.
