The Duo Praxedis, consisting of harpist Praxedis Hug-Rütti and pianist Praxedis Geneviève Hug, is made up of Carl Rütti's sister and niece, for whom the duo works on this album were composed.

Carl Rütti, born in Fribourg, Switzerland in 1949, initially had his compositions rejected by a professor for adhering to tonality, which was considered outdated.
