Vadim Salmanov's choral music is characterized by a unique heterophonic texture with supporting voices, abundant monotonic and bi-tonic episodes, and occasional splitting of choral unisons.
Compositional Technique
Salmanov revived the tradition of writing choral concertos on secular subjects, a practice previously reserved for sacred works, with his 'Swan Ladylove' concerto.
