Friedrich Schenker wrote numerous pieces for oboist Burkhard Glaetzner, including two concertos with orchestra, after they became friends at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin.
Performer Biography
Burkhard Glaetzner, the oboist on this album, was the Principal Oboist in the Radio Symphony Orchestra Leipzig from 1966 to 1982.
