Israeli pianist Yehuda Inbar's debut recording pairs two unfinished sonatas by Schubert with contemporary reimaginings of the Austrian composer's music. Michael Finnissy's completion of the 'Relique' Sonata in C major D 840 was commissioned by Inbar himself and premiered in 2017; this is the debut recording. Jörg Widmann wrote his Idyll and Abyss: Six Schubert Reminiscences in 2009. As well as the original 'Relique', Inbar also performs the incomplete Sonata in F sharp minor D 571.
