Composer Biography

In 1823, the year he composed "Die schöne Müllerin," Schubert was diagnosed with syphilis, an incurable disease at the time, which cast a shadow over the remaining five years of his life.

Duo Hasard's arrangement of "Die schöne Müllerin" for voice and two guitars aims to closely match the original sound of the fortepiano, opening new dimensions with the guitar's fragility and delicacy.
