Composer Biography
Pancho Vladigerov, a Bulgarian composer, worked as both a composer and pianist for film director Max Reinhardt at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin from 1920 to 1932.
Instruments
A C. Bechstein D-282 Concert Grand piano, serial number 212034, was used for this recording.

In his Impromptus, Franz Schubert explored new ways of structural coherence through obsessive repetition and constant renewal of melodic invention, breaking from sonata form.

Vesselin Stoyanov, a Bulgarian composer, became the rector of the Sofia Music Academy in 1956, where he had taught composition and musical form since 1937.
