This album was recorded in April 2023 at the TAP - Théâtre Auditorium de Poitiers, France, whose auditorium is known for having some of the best acoustics in Europe.

Schubert developed a new concept of musical time, differing from Beethoven's exhaustive thematic working by presenting a perfect melody from the outset and reiterating it with variations.
