Haydn's Symphony No. 99, one of his 'London Symphonies', was composed in 1793 in Vienna or Eisenstadt, between his two trips to England.
Interpretation
The Concentus Musicus Wien, founded in 1953, pioneered performance on period instruments, aiming to discover the composer's original intent and sound.
