The album includes arrangements of pieces not typically sung by a treble, such as Vaughan Williams's "Silent Noon" and Stanford's "The Blue Bird."
The album features arrangements by Donald Fraser, who also wrote a descant specifically for Cai Thomas on the track "Suo-Gân."
Aksel Rykkvin, a baritone featured on the album, was previously a treble and is noted for his ability to balance with a treble voice.
Cai Thomas, the treble soloist, is Welsh, and music is an important part of Welsh life, which influenced the inclusion of a Welsh song on the album.
The track "Pie Jesu" from Fauré's Requiem was the first piece recorded for the album and was crucial for its crowdfunding campaign.
John Brunning's "The Lord is my Shepherd" was included on the album after the director of music, Rob Lewis, connected with Brunning via Facebook.
