For their debut Pentatone album, the orchestra Holland Baroque are joined by Wu Wei, a virtuoso player of the sheng – an ancient Chinese mouth organ. The varied programme mixes east and west as well as old and new, with Western Baroque music by Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann and Rameau interspersed with traditional Chinese music and improvisation.
