Performer Biography
Christian Bischof, the organist, has been in charge of music at St. Margaret's Parish Church in Munich since 2013 and is also assistant diocesan director of music.

The album's program spans four centuries of organ music, showcasing the orchestral sonorities of the St. Margaret organ, from delicate whispers to thunderous waves of sound.
Recording & Production
This album is Christian Bischof's first solo album, recorded on the newly renovated organ of St. Margaret's Parish Church in Munich.
Instruments
The organ's character is still clearly influenced by the sound world of German late and post-Romantic organs, despite its wider expressive range.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Five works on this album are closely associated with Christian theological beliefs, with pieces by Felix Mendelssohn, Max Reger, and Olivier Messiaen focusing on Advent and Christmas.
Instruments
The organ in St. Margaret's Parish Church in Munich was returned to full-time use in December 2020 after a general overhaul and now has 76 stops.
