The recording utilized short, stranded silver interconnects designed by Yarlung Records and customized vacuum tube microphone preamplifiers, recording directly to two tracks at a high sample rate of 176,400 samples per second at 24-bit depth.
Instruments
The Brahms Quintet features a Perkins Stradivarius violin from 1708 played by first violinist Lyndon Taylor, a Carletti violin from 1941, a Sgarabotto viola from 1908, and a Vincenzo Postiglione cello built in 1877.
