Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony in C minor is an arrangement of his Eighth String Quartet, authorized by the composer, and was dedicated 'In memory of the victims of fascism and war'.

Performer Biography

Richard Tognetti, the Artistic Director and Lead Violin of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, has received six ARIA awards and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2010.
