The Willamette Master Chorus, founded in 1984 by Dr. Wallace Long, is a volunteer, auditioned community chorus that includes faculty, staff, and students from Willamette University, as well as amateur singers from Salem, Oregon, and the surrounding Willamette Valley.
Composer Biography
Dave Metzger, the composer of "The Call," is a versatile composer, arranger, and orchestrator who has worked on films like "The Lion King" (receiving a Tony nomination for orchestration) and "Tarzan," and was an arranger for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
Recording & Production
This album was recorded on May 30 and June 1, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Salem, Oregon, utilizing its 1954 Aeolian-Skinner Organ.
Performer Biography
Paul Klemme, the Artistic Director of the Willamette Master Chorus, is the second conductor in the group's history, joining in 1999.
