The Core-tet Project was formed after percussionist Evelyn Glennie heard an improvised trio CD by Szilárd Mezei, Jon Hemmersam, and Michael Jefry Stevens and became determined to join them.

This recording, The Core-tet Project, took place in November 2016, eight years after the initial idea for the collaboration.
