The Panufnik Composers Scheme was launched in 2005 by the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) in association with Lady Panufnik, in memory of her late husband, composer Sir Andrzej Panufnik.

The recording was made in 24-bit 96kHz PCM at LSO St Luke's, London, on June 3 and 4, 2015.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Sir Andrzej Panufnik, the scheme's namesake, believed that even the greatest orchestras need new music and fresh ideas, and was dismayed that talented young composers often only learned to write for fellow students.
