Viviana Guzmán, the flutist on this album, began her musical training at age 5, won her first competition at 7, and by 15 had studied with Jean-Pierre Rampal and was featured on a John Denver NBC special.

This album, "Traveling Sonata," was recorded at Skywalker Sound in Marin County, California, on June 26-27, 2011.

Flutist Viviana Guzmán performs over 80 concerts annually worldwide and has played in 119 countries, showcasing flutes from her collection of over 100 instruments.

Recording & Production

Jérémy Jouve, the guitarist, used a Greg Smallman guitar for this recording because his own guitar was broken in a plane at the time.

Performer Biography

Guitarist Jérémy Jouve won First Prize at the prestigious International Guitar competition held by the Guitar Foundation of America in Mexico in 2003, leading to a 40-recital tour across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
