Stacy Garrop's "Sanctuary" was commissioned by her mother, Barbara Garrop, in memory of her father, Norman Garrop, who passed away about 30 years prior.

Augusta Read Thomas's "…a circle around the sun…" was commissioned in 2000 by The Children's Memorial Foundation in honor of George D. Kennedy for his generous contributions to Children's Hospital of Chicago.

The Lincoln Trio's members — violinist Desirée Ruhstrat, cellist David Cunliffe, and pianist Marta Aznavoorian — have performed globally, including at the White House, with the BBC, and at the Sydney Opera House.
