Balz Trümpy's 'An Florestan und Eusebius' was influenced by his summer spent playing all of Schumann's piano works, which he cherished since childhood.

In 'Canti Elegiaci', the setting of Michelangelo's poem is rhythmically compact, while the settings of Leopardi's texts float rhythmically and in their meter.
