Performer Biography
Sara Chenal, the violinist on this album, is the first violin of the Sine Qua Non Quartet and has performed as a soloist and chamber musician internationally.

This album is dedicated to French women composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, whose works have been little recorded until recently.
Recording & Production
The album was recorded in August 2014 at La Grange, Studio Alys in France, with Pascal Perrot as sound engineer and Jean-Pierre Ferey as artistic supervisor.
Composer's Artistic Vision
Due to difficulties in securing operatic and symphonic commissions, these women composers primarily focused on art songs, chamber music, and instrumental music, often for piano.
Performer Biography
Jean-Pierre Ferey, the pianist, is known for his extensive discography of lesser-known works and has collaborated for over 30 years with French composer Aubert Lemeland.
