Richard Köster, the ensemble's founder, trumpeter, and composer, states that the more closely one examines their music, the more nuances one can discover.
Composer's Artistic Vision
The music of Coastline Paradox explores the liminal space between different worlds, focusing on a love of detail, similar to the varied elements found on a coastline.
Recording & Production
The album was recorded by Lukas Rutzen at HKB Studios in Bern and mixed and mastered by Martin Ruch at Control Room in Berlin.
Composer's Artistic Vision
The band Coastline Paradox is named after the mathematical phenomenon that a coastline's length cannot be precisely defined, inspiring their musical approach.
Album & Artwork
The album title, "Welf & Eiger," refers to Schloss Welfenstein in South Tyrol, where the music was rehearsed, and Eigerplatz in Bern, where it was recorded.
Composition History
