Pianist Uta Weyand, daughter of a Kapellmeister and an organist, grew up with a wide range of musical experiences, including piano, violin, singing, and composing.
Recording & Production
The historical Steinway grand piano used for this recording underwent an extensive restoration in 2014-2015, costing over €30,000, which was entirely funded by donations.

The album is titled '1892' because all the music featured was composed in that year, and it is performed on a piano also made in 1892.

Uta Weyand is the founder of the PIANALE Piano Academy and the organizer of the 'Schlosskonzerte Hessen' concert series, which promotes young pianists.

The grand piano used for this recording is a Steinway Model B, manufactured in Hamburg in 1892, and was originally owned by Alexander Frederick, Landgrave of Hesse, a visually handicapped composer and musician.
