Anne Søe, the violinist, began playing at age 4 using the Suzuki method and won the Berlingske Gold Medal at 15, representing Denmark in a Eurovision concert.

The composer, Karl Aage Rasmussen, agreed to a fixed-term contract as composer-in-residence with Concerto Copenhagen, which led to the creation of the solo concertos on this album.
