Caroline Louise Miller's "Ansible" was formed over a year of workshops and represents the first deeply collaborative effort for SPLICE Ensemble.
Performer Biography
SPLICE Ensemble, consisting of Sam Wells (trumpet), Keith Kirchoff (piano), and Adam Vidiksis (percussion, drum set), is dedicated to cultivating electroacoustic chamber music.
Compositional Technique
Elainie Lillios's "Living Between Seconds" uses field recordings from the American southwest, primarily bird and insect calls, as a foundation for guided improvisation.
