Performer Biography
Byron Fidetzis, the conductor on this album, has recorded several works for Naxos, including operas by Samaras and Kalafati, and is an honorary member of the Greek Composers Association.
Composition History
Many of Axiotis' scores were nearly lost due to family circumstances during the occupation of Greece, but were rediscovered in 1995 in an envelope marked 'Lavragas scraps'.
