Performer Biography
Sir Andrew Davis, the arranger and one of the conductors on this album, was an accomplished keyboard player from an early age and served as Organ Scholar at King's College, Cambridge.

Sir Andrew Davis's orchestrations aim to recreate the sound of the organ through the orchestra, rather than being purely orchestral transcriptions.
Performer Biography
Martyn Brabbins, who completed some of the arrangements on this album, was recently appointed Chief Conductor of Malmö Symfoniorkester and the Symphony Orchestra of India.
Compositional Technique
In his orchestration of the 'St Anne' Prelude and Fugue, Sir Andrew Davis gives prominence to wind instruments to create the illusion of an organ, with strings often playing a supporting role.
