Composition History
The Goldberg Variations earned their name from Johann Gottlieb Goldberg, Count Keyserlingk's young harpsichordist, who allegedly played them for the Count during sleepless nights.
Performer Biography
Anne-Catherine Bucher, the harpsichordist, founded and directed the ensemble 'Le Concert Lorrain' from 2000 to 2013, which received awards for its recordings.
