Recording & Production

This album is the result of a long-standing collaboration between Maria Lindal's Rebaroque ensemble and S:t Jacobs Chamber Choir, who have performed many works together.

Interpretation

The performers found an 'optimal fusion of voice, words, articulation, song, instrument, timbre and colour' in Bach's motets, where instruments and voices share the same parts.

Gary Graden, the conductor, was born in the USA and studied with Eric Ericson at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.

Rebaroque, the ensemble on this album, was formed in 1998 as The Stockholm Baroque Orchestra and quickly became one of Sweden's leading baroque ensembles.
