Fantasia for Double Orchestra uses two identical 'mirror-image' orchestras placed on either side of the performance area to create a 'kaleidoscopic' spatial effect.

Concertante in Moto Perpetuo was composed in February and March 1983 and is dedicated to the composer's then two-year-old daughter, Rebecca.
